SKILLS

UX

USER EXPERIENCE - In my master's degree, I focused on user experience design and user experience research. It always fascinated me how we perceive new products and services, as will these innovations fulfil our needs? I've learned various UX skills, such as prototyping, survey taking and communicating with the target group. But, my strongest point of UX is researching why a particular product or service will or will not work. Finding out what moves the target group and their implicit needs and goals will give a new dynamic in the design process!

Concept

CONCEPTING - Overall, I consider myself as creative as I think of many potential concepts that could fulfil the target group's needs or bring an organisation forward. However, they must perceive the concepts as practical and effective. These concepts start with research and getting in touch with the potential users and stakeholders. The reason is that information is vital and shapes the ideas that you have in mind. As a result, I think of concepts in a creative context and in the functionality of whether these concepts will work and if the target will accept the concepts. Therefore, the concept will not only be perceived as creative but also as valuable.

Strategy

STRATEGY - In my bachelor's degree, I focused on strategizing a campaign. The designers' strategy determines the uniqueness of a campaign as this correlates with how the target group or stakeholders perceive a certain product or service. Therefore, it must be relevant for them and where they can relate to the campaign's core message. These perceptions of relevance and relatedness can be done by interviewing and using psychology or psychological insights. As a result, there is a possibility to catch the implicit needs of the target group and use this to make your campaign stronger. The product has to stand out, but the message that the products stand for has to be clear. The result is that the target group will perceive the product or service as valuable and personally as they connect their implicit needs with the core message of the campaign.
